A Sparrow's Courage, Life's Impermanance

The following poem was written about a decade ago, while I was still in Secondary school ;-) The photo was taken recently... so you can see the difference :-)

A sparrow appear before my eyes,
From the sky through which she fly.
The sky that lies so high,
The sky where peace will never die.

She seeks warmth, from my palm,
In her eyes, I see calm.
Small as she is, she dares seek,
This is the courage, all man seeks.

From my palm she flew away,
In anticipation of a brand new day.
Try as I might, I lost that night,
Impermanace is what I cannot fight.
